Janet Jackson has hit the road for her 7th World Tour, “UNBREAKABLE“. August 31 was the kick off to the tour in Vancouver, BC and includes over 90 stops until the end of June 2016! From North America to Japan, Janet’s Unbreakable Tour is taking the world by STORM!
BASSic Black Entertainment CEO, Adam Blackstone, is Musical Director for the tour and has ensured that it will keep fans on their feet from beginning to end! The BET Awards celebrated its 15th Anniversary in a major way! Performances included Nicki Minaj & Meek Mill, Janelle Monae, a tribute to Janet Jackson and Smokey Robinson, and a surprise Bad Boy Reunion by Diddy, Mase, 112, Faith Evens, and the Queen Bee herself Lil Kim!!
BASSic Black Entertainment CEO, Adam Blackstone, continues to make a name for himself as one of the most sought after Musical Directors in the industry today! Adam, and the entire BBE All-Star band, were hired as the house band for the entire award show! From the programming to the instrumentation, the entire show was first class all the way!

“Empire” Season 1 may have ended months ago, but its stars, Jussie Smollett (Jamal) and Bryshere “Yazz” Gray (Hakeem), reunited at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday to perform “Conqueror,” featuring Estelle, and “You’re So Beautiful.” Taraji P. Henson, who plays Cookie, introduced her co-stars with, “Prepare to celebrate the music of ‘Empire!'”

Season 40 of one of NBC’s longest running television shows, “Saturday Night Live”, was quite possibly one of the best season yet! So it’s no wonder that they called the pop diva herself, Rihanna, to perform as the final musical guest of the season!
Adam Blackstone, CEO of BASSic Black Entertainment, ensured that Rihanna’s performance was one that was musically appealing to the ears of everyone in the audience and those watching at home!! With Adam as Musical Director, Rihanna definitely left her mark on the SNL stage!!!

The stars of Fox’s new hit show “Empire” stopped by the Good Morning America stage to perform their new single off of the “Empire” soundtrack.
America has come to love Jussie Smollett and Yazz from their co-starring roles on the hit show “Empire” but proved to the GMA audience that they’re more than just actors! Performing “You’re So Beautiful”, they gave the fans something to dance to early in the morning!
BASSic Black Entertainment CEO, Adam Blackstone, was Musical Director for the live performance and provided a full BBE band and singers!!

HBO’s much anticipated airing of the biopic “Bessie” stars grammy award winning singer/actress Queen Latifah as the sassy songstress. The soundtrack, to be relased on CD June 2, includes some of Bessie’s original songs newly recorded by Latifah. The work of BASSic Black Entertainment CEO, Adam Blackstone is also featured on the soundtrack.
The album alsoBessie Smith’s original “Gimme A Pigfoot and A Bottle Of Beer” recording, featuring newly recorded vocals, ad-libs and raucous banter by Queen Latifah, set to enhanced instrumentation remixed and produced by Adam Blackstone and Queen Latifah.

UNCF’s 36th Annual “An Evening of Stars” featured performances from some of today’s top artists while highlighting 4 outstanding HBCU college students.
Hosted by Anthony Anderson, UNCF’s mission behind “An Evening of Stars” is to raise money for students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Four outstanding students were selected for this occasion and presented with scholarships from celebrities such as Kevin Hart, Chris Paul, and Usher.
UNCF has been calling on Adam Blackstone, CEO of BASSic Black Entertainment, for the past few years to be the Musical Director for this event. They’ve trusted his vision and they’re always pleased with the end results of the show. This year was no different!! Adam, backed by a full BBE band and singers, provided the musical force behind the performances of Yolanda Adams, Toni Braxton, Babyface, Jussie Smollett, K. Michelle, Big Sean, & Estelle!!

Rihanna entertained a crowed full of Final Four fanatics with some of her major hit records such hits as “We Found Love”, “Diamonds” and her latest hits “FourFiveSeconds” and “B**** Better Have My Money” .
